Designing a completely new course for USU from scratch was exhilarating! Combining interests in biology and museum studies, this Collection Material Handling course offered Spring 2023 let students gain hands-on experience at each collection on the USU Logan campus!

As a co-instructor for the Natural Resource Interpretation course, I designed and scheduled field trips to various locations in northern Utah to show students real-world interpretation materials, to allow them time for critique, and to develop their own interpretation styles.
Students participating in the USU Collection Material Handling course labs, visiting the Library Special Collection learning about their compactor system, the Insect Collection with insect pinning demonstrations and practice, and the Geology Museum learning about various display methods, in Spring 2023.
